You’re moving to Miami! You may have locally moved from West Palm or all-the-way from New York. The Magic City is exciting and overwhelming, which makes it challenging to know where to start. Once you’re relocation or South Florida move is complete, jump in the car and get down to the beach and famous A1A Highway and Collins Ave.
We love helping South Floridians move to Miami. It’s a Dade city like no other with Cuban-Latin cultures infused for a super cool melting pot. There’s designer shopping, tons of blue light nightlife, gorgeous beaches, and distinctive neighborhoods and styles, and lots of tourists soaking it in.
You should experience the best of the place where you’re going to live. Take a look at these eight Miami attractions below. And remember, it only takes a quick phone call to get our moving services by your side—so you can get out and have a great time faster.
Ocean Drive
The stunning A1A state road travels through the south of Florida. You can catch it as it transforms into Collins Avenue, passes North Beach, Mid Beach, South Beach, and becomes the Ocean Drive thoroughfare in Miami. It’s perfect for a stroll, meeting people, getting a tan, and going out for some nightlife.
Miami Beach
Head down Miami Beach to visit South Beach—both the beach and the neighborhood. It’s very popular as a beach hangout during the day and a nightlife scene after dark. You can visit the clubs for ongoing parties any night of the week. Catch pop stars, DJs, and other musical artists performing and rubbing elbows. Or find a lounge or bar that’s more your style.
Calle Ocho
Soak in the Cuban culture in Little Havana. Try the food, especially the famous Cuban sandwich. Hear the music. Make sure to focus on 8th Street (AKA, Calle Ocho), which passes through the center of the neighborhood. Spanish is the main language here, so practice your best phrases.
Dolphin Mall
You can never get lost in Dolphin Mall, which is shaped like a large loop. You get a great walk, pick up some products from national brands, and find treats for the kids at the food court—or order a sit-down meal in the center restaurants. It’s a wonderful Miami attraction for families.
Zoo Miami
Get in touch with your inner zoologist, and see some of the 3,000+ animals at Zoo Miami. If you get a chance, make sure to feed the giraffes and get pictures—an unforgettable experience. An amazing feature of this zoo is that it’s the only North American zoo in a subtropical zone, playing host to beautiful plants and trees, including orchids.
Florida Everglades
Head out to this surprising national park to get among the crocs, gators, birds, and snakes. The park is a massive shallow river flowing through 1.5 million acres of wetland. You can walk on trails and boardwalks or pay for an exciting tour on an airboat.
Venetian Pool
This Miami attraction is a unique way to cool off. The pool, dating from 1924, is made from a converted coral rock quarry and finished with Spanish-style structures. You’ll see waterfalls, rock formations, and palm trees around you as you swim in beautiful turquoise waters. You can even swim into small caves in the rocks.
Wynwood Art District
Soak in the art in Wynwood, a warehouse district where many walls have been turned into colorful art canvases. After it was kicked off in 2009, artists from other countries traveled here to help fill 80,000+ square feet of walls. You can enjoy them on your own or with a tour group.
